23 Dec Make 2020 the Year You Keep Your Resolution
Most people don’t keep their New Year’s resolutions. Maybe they’re making the wrong resolutions. We polled the crew here at A&S Reclaimed Wood to see how many people made resolutions – and how many kept them. We found something interesting. The people who made vague resolutions like losing weight or fixing up the house didn’t follow through. People who had specific goals – like losing 10 pounds or installing a beautiful new floor made from reclaimed wooden planks – did much better.
But sometimes even specific resolutions are abandoned by the wayside. At a holiday party last week, a member of the team here at A&S Reclaimed Wood overheard someone talking about how much they had hoped to get a particular home improvement project done in 2019 and lamenting the fact that they hadn’t pulled it off. We can relate. You probably can, too.
How long have you been thinking about taking on that kitchen renovation or installing that reclaimed wood accent wall? Ask yourself what’s holding you back. And then ask yourself if that’s really a good enough reason to deprive yourself of the pleasure and satisfaction you know you’ll experience when the project is finally done.
This Is the Year!
According to Forbes, “The statistics on how many people actually follow through and accomplish their New Year’s resolutions are rather grim. Studies have shown that less than 25% of people actually stay committed to their resolutions after just 30 days, and only 8% accomplish them.”
That doesn’t mean you can’t make that kitchen you’ve been dreaming of – you know, the one with the reclaimed wood backsplash and the open shelves – a reality in 2020. If you live in Broward or Palm Beach County, A&S Reclaimed Wood, a locally owned and operated reclaimed wood supplier based in Deerfield Beach, can help you create the look you want.
